Common questions
How do I change the colour or typeface?
Open Gate 88, then Settings (⌘,). Changes apply immediately.
How do I close the clock?
Press Escape, or use the plane icon in the menu bar and choose Quit Gate 88.
The clock does not appear when I step away.
Turn on “Show clock when idle” in Settings. Note that the macOS screen
saver takes the screen at its own delay, so the clock’s delay is capped
below it.
Can I hear the flip sound on every second?
Yes — turn on seconds, then “Clack on every second” in the Sound section.
Does it work on Intel Macs?
Yes. Gate 88 is a universal app and runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later.
